The Helpdesk supports Sida staff on demand in collaboration with a broad resource pool of expertise. The support to Sida consists of advice and strategic guidance on environment and climate change integration at policy, program and project level and supports capacity building, methodology development and dialogue on environmental issues.
The Helpdesk access to a broad resource pool ensures availability of complementary resources and country- and subject-matter expertise in order to provide professional and knowledge-based Helpdesk services. The Helpdesk resource pool consists of researchers, practitioners and experts within relevant fields for the Helpdesk assignment including gender, health, rural and urban development, sustainable land management, ecosystem services, resilience, forestry, fisheries, agriculture to mention some areas of expertise. Helpdesk partners in the resource pool consists of e.g. the Environmental Economics Unit at University of Gothenburg, Environment for Development initiative around the world, the Nordic Africa Insitute and many more.
