External experts
The Core Team of experts at the Helpdesk brings a wide range of knowledge and competences into the work. We also regularly work together with external experts – researchers and other professionals.
Collaboration to deepen our knowledge and extend our scope
Engaging external experts is an important feature of our way of working, especially since the assignments vary greatly in both substance and geographical scope. When relevant, external experts are brought in for specific tasks to complement the expertise of the Helpdesk's Core Team.
Connecting research, policy and practice
The Helpdesk’s engagement with researchers and other experts helps bridge the gap between research, policy and practice.
National and global external expertise
External experts may come from universities, civil society, government or the private sector. Their expertise can be context-specific at the national level or have a global outlook, for example. We especially encourage the involvement of experts from developing countries and universities.
How it works
When needed, the Helpdesk reaches out to identify the required expertise or consults its roster. We have also framework agreements with organisations and individuals to enable flexible and effective processes.
